Wandoor beach is one of the popular beaches in Andaman and attracts hundreds of tourist every day. It is more, known as the gateway to Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park.Wandoor is situated 25km east of Port Blair and takes around one hour to reach there by bus. Tickets can be purchased on the bus itself.There are some small food stalls and couple of new resorts/hotels like ‘Sea princess’ or ‘Anugama’ situated in Wandoor. These stalls or hotels operated by the locals, which offers different kind of foods.
Wandoor Beach is an ideal destination for a daytime get away. Jolly Buoy or Red Skin Island is near to Wandoor beach, so if you are planning to go to this island from Wandoor beach, make sure you reach here well in time. All the boats leave Wandoor by 9am in the morning.The beach has a restricted swimming zone as some incidents took place of crocodile watch. So people can hire glass-bottomed boats to view the coral reefs.Boats are available only up to noon unless in peak season.

Sea Princess Beach Resort is one of the good places to stay in Wandoor. Anugama Resort is another option to stay here. Wandoor has a very natural setting and the beaches and islands there are fantastic. Go see for yourself. There are not many accommodation facilities here .
Tourist can easily reach Wandoor Beach Via Bus or taxi from Port Blair. It is located about 30 Km from Port Blair and takes about 90 minutes to reach here from Port Blair. You can take bus from Port Blair Bus Station to Wandoor which charges very nominal fees. You can also book round trip taxi . Beach is located just 5 km from the Wandoor Village.
